Why this guide: about 22,200 people a month search Google for “best hotels in las vegas” (US, DataForSEO Labs, September 2026). This is the answer we would give a client, written to be booked from.
The short answer
- LuxuryWynn and Encore, Waldorf Astoria (no casino), Four Seasons (the Mandalay Bay tower's top floors), Fontainebleau, Bellagio's fountain-view rooms, Aria Sky Suites
- Best valuePark MGM (no smoking, low fee), the LINQ, Resorts World's Hilton wing, the Venetian on a Sunday–Thursday
- No resort feeDowntown's Circa (fee, but Fremont), the Golden Nugget (low), Circus Circus, and the Airbnb/vacation-rental alternative — almost every Strip resort charges $40–$55
The luxury tier
Wynn and Encore remain the Strip's benchmark — the largest standard rooms, the best pool, the Wynn golf course, and the Encore tower for quiet. Waldorf Astoria (in the Aria campus, no casino, no smoke) for the serene end and the 23rd-floor lobby bar; Four Seasons occupies floors 35–39 of Mandalay Bay with its own entrance and pool; Fontainebleau (opened December 2023) on the north Strip with the newest rooms and the Fleur de Lis spa; Bellagio's fountain-view rooms in the main tower; Aria's Sky Suites with their own lounge; the Palazzo's suites; the NoMad within Park MGM for design; Crockfords at Resorts World for the boutique tower.
The value tier and the towers to ask for
Park MGM is the Strip's only fully non-smoking resort with a lower fee and a good centre-Strip location; the LINQ and Flamingo for location at the lowest rates; Resorts World's Hilton-branded wing for points; the Venetian's all-suite standard rooms are the biggest 'basic' room on the Strip. Ask for: Bellagio main tower fountain-facing, Cosmopolitan's Boulevard Tower terrace rooms, Wynn's Tower Suites entrance, Aria's Tower Suites for the separate check-in, the Palazzo over the Venetian for the newer rooms, and high floors everywhere — the noise from the Strip stops around the 20th floor.
Downtown and off-Strip
Circa (adults-only, the Stadium Swim pool, Fremont Street) is Downtown's best; the Golden Nugget for the shark-tank pool and the classic; the Plaza's rooftop. Off-Strip: Red Rock Resort in Summerlin for the canyon views and the locals' scene, Green Valley Ranch, the M Resort south, Virgin Hotels (the former Hard Rock) east of the Strip, and the Palms' Fantasy Tower. The Arts District has no hotels of note yet — stay at Circa or Park MGM and walk.
Fees, weekends and the rules
Resort fees are $40–$55 a night plus tax at nearly every Strip property, and parking is $18–$30 a day at most (Wynn, Venetian and the Caesars properties charge; Treasure Island and a few others do not). Sunday–Thursday rates are one-third to one-half of Friday–Saturday; conventions (CES in January, SEMA in November, NAB in April) sell out the city. See our resort fee guide for the waivers and the fee-free list. Pools are seasonal (March–October); the party pools charge admission.
Booking it
Harry Reid International (LAS) is 10–15 minutes from the south Strip and 20 from the north; the engine's Las Vegas page shows total pricing including the fee, sorts by it, and a pre-booked chauffeur beats the Terminal 1 taxi line every time. See our things to do in Las Vegas and the best time to visit guides.
Three things to get right
- Sunday–Thursday is half the price of the weekend.
- Ask for a high floor — the Strip noise stops around 20.
- Sort by total price including the resort fee, not the headline rate.
