St Lucia and Antigua
St Lucia has the Pitons, and the resorts that face them are the Caribbean's most dramatic: Jade Mountain and its sister Anse Chastanet (open-wall sanctuaries, not all-inclusive by default but with plans), Sugar Beach (Viceroy, between the Pitons), Ladera on the ridge; Sandals Grande St Lucian on its own peninsula in the north with over-water bungalows, and Sandals Regency La Toc and Halcyon. When
December–April is the dry, calm, expensive season everywhere; May and November are the value months with near-peak weather; June–October is hurricane season with the deepest discounts, least risky in Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, Grenada and Trinidad at the belt's southern edge. Sargassum affects east-facing coasts (Punta Cana, the eastern DR, Barbados' east) from May to October; the western and southern coasts are clearer.
